Role Overview
Northpower seeks a qualified Line Mechanic to join its Auckland Energy Services team. This hands-on position involves constructing and maintaining the overhead network assets essential for delivering safe, dependable power to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and replace poles, conductors, and related overhead equipment.
- Collaborate within a team ensuring work meets industry standards and quality.
- Promote and maintain a safety-first approach in all duties.
- Work effectively with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and community stakeholders.
- Demonstrate Northpower’s core values to foster professional and personal growth.
- Engage in formal training and new challenges to enhance skills and knowledge.
Candidate Profile
- Essential: Current Electricity Workers Registration Board (EWRB) certification.
- Proven experience performing overhead line work.
- Possession of a valid New Zealand driver license; Class 2 license highly preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and a positive, proactive mindset.
- Physically fit, capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and a cooperative team orientation.
