Role Overview
The role of Line Cook is a full-time, on-site job located in Limassol Municipality. The successful candidate will prepare and cook dishes adhering to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and quality benchmarks to guarantee consistent flavor and presentation. This task requires station setup and upkeep, ingredient preparation, strict adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols, and coordination with kitchen colleagues during service hours.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items following set recipes, portion guidelines, and quality requirements.
- Set up and maintain an efficient and clean cooking station.
- Manage food preparation tasks and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate closely with other kitchen members throughout service to maintain smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of ingredients and assist with accepting and storing supplies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficient culinary abilities in fundamental cooking techniques, food prep, and plating suited for busy kitchen settings.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and proper ingredient handling and storage.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, with good time management skills and multitasking capability.
- Team player with strong communication skills for coordinating with chefs, kitchen assistants, and service personnel.
- Prior experience as a Line Cook or related kitchen role in hospitality or restaurant environments preferred.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally needed.
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment operation and routine upkeep.
- Formal culinary training, certifications, or vocational education is an asset.
