Role Overview
We are looking for a Learning Experience Designer to collaborate with our Learning & Development (L&D) team and senior designers in crafting engaging and scalable educational experiences. This role involves designing course materials, video content, and training tools that empower our workforce and foster skill development in a dynamic growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and developing learning programs and resources guided by senior team members.
- Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create engaging educational content.
- Convert expert knowledge into clear and impactful learning materials.
- Contribute to creating high-quality video content by supporting scripting, storyboarding, and basic editing using AI and traditional tools.
- Support learning initiatives by testing digital content, deploying surveys, and monitoring engagement.
- Organize and maintain learning assets, toolkits, and job aids aligned with L&D strategies.
- Participate in evaluating learning effectiveness by collecting feedback and analyzing learner data for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on emerging learning technologies, AI applications, and industry trends.
- Prepare for the integration of a new LMS within Workday by auditing existing content and collaborating with subject matter experts to refine key learning pathways.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 1 year experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or related fields.
- Familiarity with adult learning theory and foundational instructional design frameworks.
- Basic skills in eLearning authoring tools like Rise 360, Articulate, or Synthesia.
- Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple projects meeting service level agreements.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Comfortable using G Suite tools and adaptable to new HR or LMS technologies.
- Experience using AI tools to enhance and automate workflows effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Experience or interest in multimedia or video content creation, especially with AI-enabled tools.
Working Conditions
Our team embraces an office-first culture to promote collaboration and innovation, requiring presence at our New York, NY office at least four days per week to foster creativity and interpersonal connections.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually, subject to factors like experience, education, skill set, location, and more. In addition to base salary, Metropolis offers comprehensive benefits including healthcare, 401(k) plans, disability coverage, life insurance, stock options, and bonus opportunities.
