Leading Hand Service Crew

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Service Crew member to guide and oversee a team engaged in underground mining service tasks, including installation and maintenance works in mine environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage installation of primary and secondary fans, escapeways, vent doors, and pump stations.
• Perform general service crew duties such as installing mine services and preparing mining faces.
• Coordinate activities with surface plant operators and mining teams for efficient work flow.
• Collaborate closely with mining and engineering personnel to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Applicant Requirements

• Proven underground mining experience, specifically in service crew roles.
• Prior experience functioning as a Leading Hand is mandatory.
• Current manual driver’s license with competence to operate underground vehicles under relevant RPLs: IT and LV.
• Experience in using handheld airleg tools is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of underground mining regulations, procedures, and possession of a dangerous goods card.
• Capability to work safely in confined spaces and physically challenging environments.
• Ability to adhere to strict safety procedures and operational standards.
