Role Overview

We invite applications for a Leadership Tutor to join our Hastings campus on a full-time, permanent basis. This role entails delivering the New Zealand Certificate in Leadership (Level 3), a course designed to empower youth and learners seeking to enhance their leadership competency, confidence, workplace behavior, and readiness for employment or further study.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that fosters learner self-discovery of strengths and skill growth.
• Deliver interactive sessions focusing on communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership development.
• Make learning practical, engaging, and relatable to real-life scenarios.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• Proven experience leading or supervising workplace teams.
• Prior work with youth or young adult populations.
• Ability to actively engage, motivate, and build learner confidence.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Knowledge of leadership theories and various leadership styles.
• Relevant industry qualification or practical experience.
• Willingness to obtain an adult teaching qualification if not already held.

Though tertiary or adult learning teaching experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Those with a background in leadership seeking a meaningful career transition to inspire the upcoming generation are strongly encouraged to apply.
