Overview
The Lead - Education for the FIFA Talent Development Scheme will oversee and manage the academic, vocational, and life-skills education for players enrolled at FIFA Talent Academies throughout India. This position focuses on ensuring educational programs align with national curricula and promoting the all-round growth of players beyond their sporting pursuits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage educational programs by collaborating with education coordinators, schools, and learning providers to guarantee smooth academic access for all academy players.
- Monitor academic progress and attendance diligently, maintaining comprehensive records across all academies.
- Facilitate timely player enrollment and examination registrations according to their respective educational boards such as CBSE and State Boards.
- Ensure that all academies provide conducive environments for learning.
- Assess players' educational needs and implement customized support plans including remedial and advanced learning where necessary.
- Provide access to educational materials like textbooks, digital resources, and online assessments, supporting multilingual education when applicable.
- Design and coordinate life skills training modules tailored to age groups covering topics like time management, communication, career planning, and digital literacy.
- Identify partnerships with vocational education providers to broaden players' career options outside football.
- Serve as the central contact point among the AIFF, academic partners, parents, schools, and academy staff concerning education-related matters.
- Maintain ongoing liaison with state and central education authorities to ensure compliance and integration.
- Track key educational performance indicators and provide monthly reports to the TDS core team.
- Safeguard confidentiality and maintain professional records of academic assessments and behavioral assessments.
- Proactively address educational challenges with support from counselors and residential staff.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum three years of experience in school administration, youth education programs, or residential learning settings, including teaching roles.
- Familiarity with multiple school curricula such as CBSE, State Boards, or NIOS.
- Strong skills in documentation and coordinated communication.
- Master's degree in Education preferred.
- Experience in sports-related academic programs or working with athletes is an advantage.
- Knowledge of digital education technologies and platforms.
