Job Summary
Benecon is looking for a Lead Designer who will function as the company’s primary graphic and visual design specialist. In this role, you will shape compelling visual communications that support strategic marketing efforts, with a strong emphasis on VERIS and enterprise brand work.
You will turn business goals, marketing plans, and creative ideas into effective visuals for digital channels, print pieces, presentations, campaigns, and sales support materials. The position calls for advanced design judgment to produce fresh, high-quality solutions that strengthen the Benecon brand and keep product and marketing assets visually aligned.
The Lead Designer partners with marketing leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver creative output that contributes to growth and helps the company stand apart in the market. This role reports to the Creative Director and plays an important part in executing Benecon’s strategic direction through strong design work.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position may guide and review the work of design specialists, vendors, and freelance partners. It does not include formal direct management duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct the visual design work for VERIS marketing efforts across digital, print, presentations, campaigns, events, and sales collateral.
- Produce design work that strengthens Benecon’s brand across marketing programs.
- Create campaign assets, presentation materials, digital experiences, and supporting visuals that communicate healthcare and benefits information in a clear and engaging way.
- Convert business priorities, marketing strategy, and creative direction into visuals that connect with the intended audience.
- Build unified visual systems and design resources that preserve consistency across products, campaigns, and channels.
- Evaluate and improve design output to ensure strong typography, composition, accessibility, layout, and visual storytelling.
- Oversee production for multiple formats, including print, digital, email, presentations, video support, and collateral.
- Present concepts and explain creative decisions to stakeholders and leadership.
- Protect the accuracy and integrity of content, data, and statistics in all creative materials.
- Look for ways to streamline creative workflows, refine templates, and improve visual efficiency across the organization.
Requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand and work on a computer for as much as 90% of the workday.
- Capability to bend, stoop, walk, stand, and move items up to 20 lbs.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline is required.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in graphic design or creative work, preferably in an agency or corporate marketing setting.
- Proven experience leading creative initiatives.
- Strong command of Adobe Creative Cloud, with InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop required.
- Experience in healthcare, financial services, B2B, or other solution-oriented industries is preferred.

- Strong conceptual ability with the skill to turn complex information into clear, visually compelling materials.
- Advanced expertise in typography, layout, and brand systems.
- Confidence in presenting creative reasoning to stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-focused environment.
