Position Overview
Starting September 1, 2026, we offer a full-time, permanent position as a cook at the Stralsund Youth Hostel. The role involves a variable annual working time totaling 1560 hours per year.

Candidate Profile
- Completed professional training as a cook or similar qualification in gastronomy
- Preferably some prior professional experience in the culinary field
- Experience with community catering and handling special dietary requirements
- Familiarity with cost control through inventory management and material usage tracking
- A strong team spirit and genuine enthusiasm for the cooking profession
Work Schedule and Location
This position features full-time employment with a flexible annual working hours arrangement tailored to seasonal fluctuations, ensuring year-round employment. The total working hours amount to 1560 hours annually.
Applicants must be willing to work in shifts, including Sundays and public holidays. Reliable scheduling is provided to help align work shifts with personal, including family, commitments.

The DJH State Association Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania operates 12 youth hostels in idyllic locations such as the Baltic Sea coast, nature reserves, and lakes. We offer more than scenic work environments; as a non-profit youth welfare organization, our guests include youth groups, school classes, and families.
