Role Overview

We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team at Metropolitan West. No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided to develop required skills. The role demands attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for both guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of kitchen surfaces and floors daily.
• Diligently update and complete cleaning schedules with appropriate sign-offs.
• Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of food storage areas.
• Wash and sanitize dirty plates, cutlery, and various kitchen utensils.
• Manage proper disposal of kitchen waste by emptying waste containers responsibly.
• Clean and maintain cooking appliances such as cookers and grills.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks like peeling and cutting fruits and vegetables.
