Role Overview
Join the dedicated team at Voco Zeal Exeter Science Park as a Kitchen Porter working 40 hours weekly over 5 days. This position is essential in maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout all kitchen areas including washing dishes, mopping floors, and wiping surfaces
- Assist chefs with ingredient preparation and simple cooking tasks as needed
- Properly handle and store food following health and safety guidelines
- Manage kitchen inventory and notify management when stock supplies run low
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure prompt food preparation and delivery adhering to quality standards
- Comply with all safety protocols to sustain a secure workplace
- Dispose of waste responsibly and engage in recycling practices where possible
Work Schedule and Flexibility
The establishment operates every day of the year. Staff are expected to work various shifts with flexibility to cover evenings and weekends, with details discussed during the hiring interview.
