Our client is a specialized staffing and recruitment firm concentrating on cybersecurity, data, and AI professional placements. Their clientele includes enterprise-level organizations with annual revenues exceeding $1 billion across sectors such as financial services, retail, and automotive industries. This well-established firm, consisting of a lean and experienced 15-person team, has recently experienced a surge in demand, necessitating expansion of their recruitment staff.
Role Description
The Junior Recruiter position is an entry-level role designed to support the growing demand by managing multiple recruitment assignments. This role offers a structured promotion path leading to advanced recruitment responsibilities, business development, or leadership opportunities with increased earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage passive candidates on platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, focusing on cybersecurity, data, and AI talent.
- Conduct initial intake discussions with hiring managers to clarify job requirements before commencing searches.
- Screen candidates through organized 30-minute qualification interviews prior to client presentation.
- Handle 2 to 4 live job requisitions concurrently, mainly contract positions.
- Arrange candidate interviews and assist with offer management and negotiations.
- Develop foundational expertise in contract staffing markets and understand client portfolios.
Qualifications and Candidate Profile
- Consistent work or academic experience through high school and/or university stages.
- Highly self-driven, competitive mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Effective and proactive communicator who follows up independently.
- Strong emotional intelligence with a relationship-focused working style.
- Residency in Toronto or readiness to relocate; required in-office presence Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at the Bay and Richmond location (with a flexible two-day schedule every alternate week during summer).
- No prior experience in recruiting or technology sectors needed; commitment and determination are key.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting base salary of $40,000 annually.
- Expected first-year total earnings range between $50,000 and $55,000.
- Anticipated second-year earnings between $70,000 and $100,000 based on performance and progression.
