Position Overview

As a Junior Interior Designer within our Corporate Interiors team, you will engage in diverse commercial and workplace projects across Ireland, the UK, and internationally. Our multidisciplinary studio blends different viewpoints and expertise to create a robust environment. Working under the Perkins&Will umbrella, you will gain ongoing mentorship and support aimed at developing your interior design career.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the interior design process with guidance, contributing to team success while maintaining high standards of design quality and project execution.
  • Assist in developing contract documents such as floor plans, ceiling plans, millwork, furniture layouts, finishes, and schedules.
  • Help prepare presentations and models for client meetings.
  • Learn to skillfully apply fundamental design principles relating to space, color, lighting, texture, and scale.
  • Conduct manufacturer research and aid in selecting materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting aligned with sustainability objectives.
  • Contribute to programming and space planning tasks including area measurement calculations.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and proactivity by asking questions about design practices and industry trends.
  • Approach tasks creatively and complete them efficiently and consistently.
  • Support projects by focusing on detailed assignments and participate in team and studio activities.
  • Communicate creative ideas clearly to motivate team members.
  • Engage in design reviews, collaborative brainstorming, and presentations.
  • Provide assistance coordinating efforts between partners and consultants.

Required Knowledge and Skills
