About the Company

The Agency is dedicated to facilitating digital health services access while ensuring strict management of personal health information.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Business Analyst to assist in enhancing access to eReferral through the Agency’s established onboarding processes. This role involves verifying Health Information Custodian (HIC) credentials and legal status via Client Information Forms to properly identify individuals. The incumbent will also categorize and match clinician end users to approved HIC types and confirm legal responsibility before transitioning users to digital health platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to collect, document, and analyze onboarding requirements concerning clinician access, HIC validation, legal structure, and pre-approval for eReferral and associated digital services.
  • Assist with business analysis tasks such as gathering requirements, defining business rules, mapping, documentation, resolving issues, stakeholder communication, and preparing reports for management and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in business process mapping and analyses to support onboarding decisions, aiming for improved consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of PHIPA principles, covering consent, collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal health information.
  • Familiarity with the roles of health information custodians and their agents under PHIPA regulations.
  • Insight into the Ontario healthcare sector and accessibility to electronic health records (EHR) and digital health services within Ontario.
  • Preferred: Understanding of information management concepts, standards, policies, and practices.
  • Preferred: Experience with business analysis techniques such as business process mapping, functional modeling, stakeholder engagement, and documentation.
  • Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork capabilities, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Term and Equal Opportunity
