Role Overview

This is a permanent, full-time store leadership opportunity based in Timmins, Ontario. The junior assistant manager will support the assistant manager and store manager in meeting sales targets, upholding brand standards, and keeping the team motivated to perform at a high level.

What You’ll Do

You will help guide the store team, strengthen customer service, coordinate day-to-day store operations, and contribute to sales, people management, merchandising, and administrative tasks. The position involves both hands-on floor support and back-end store coordination.

Sales and Customer Experience

• Coach team members on customer service and selling techniques, while ensuring they understand product details and features.
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and help them choose products by explaining quality, materials, and technical aspects.
• Work with the management team to organize store tasks and daily activities.
• Keep store operations running efficiently and ensure service standards remain strong.
• Work toward individual sales targets with the support of company training.
• Share important information with the team so collective sales goals can be achieved.

People Leadership and HR

• Create a positive workplace that encourages excellence, pride, and a strong sense of belonging.
• Bring the company’s mission, vision, and brand culture into daily store operations.
• Lead by example and act as a motivating role model for the team.
• Help build a strong team by recruiting, preparing, training, and identifying suitable candidates for different roles.
• Track and manage lateness and absences within the team.

Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation

• Work with the team to build an appealing store setup in line with planograms.
• Monitor competitor activity and stay aware of market trends.
• Support brand consistency to help develop customer loyalty.
• Assist with order planning and ensure visual displays are installed effectively.
• Help maintain store and backroom cleanliness and overall presentation.

Administration

• Review sales, traffic, and productivity reports and communicate key takeaways to the team.
• Handle store opening and closing duties.
• Follow head office policies and procedures as required.
• Take on additional tasks as needed to support the team.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay rate for this role is hourly, ranging from 19.75 to 21.50 CAD. Benefits for Full-Time Employees

Ideal Candidate Profile

The company is looking for someone with prior retail team management experience, a genuine interest in lingerie, sleepwear, and swimwear, strong leadership ability, solid communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. The ideal person listens well, sets goals, works proactively, and is comfortable with holidays and longer shifts during peak periods. Functional bilingual ability is considered an asset.
