Role overview
D24 Fintech is hiring an IT Support Engineer to look after core IT infrastructure, employee devices and accounts, and enterprise systems. The position is centered on keeping technology services secure, dependable, and efficient across several office sites. It also serves as the escalation path for difficult technical problems.
This is a hands-on role that blends support work, systems administration, network and security operations, and ongoing improvements to IT service delivery. The environment is fast-moving, runs around the clock, and requires someone comfortable working across multiple priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Handle employee onboarding and offboarding end to end, including account setup and removal, email access, hardware assignment, and user configuration in Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and connected platforms.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, and Windows Server, along with domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, file servers, backups, patching, and endpoint protection.
- Support helpdesk operations as a Level 2 escalation contact for complex hardware, software, and network issues, while tracking tickets and meeting SLA targets.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN links, switches, routers, and wireless networks, including secure Wi‑Fi, segmentation, high availability, and firmware updates.
- Implement identity and cloud security controls such as MFA, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management in Entra ID, and monitor sign-in activity and identity risk signals using Zero Trust practices.
- Deploy and manage endpoints through Windows Autopilot and Intune, enforce compliance requirements, BitLocker encryption, and security baselines, and review endpoint health metrics.
- Monitor systems proactively using Microsoft Defender, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics, carry out root cause analysis, document incidents, and assist during critical outages.
- Oversee backup systems for servers, Microsoft 365, and endpoints, and contribute to disaster recovery planning, testing, audits, and IT risk reviews.
- Work with vendors for purchasing and support, manage IT assets and renewals, and automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell or Bash to improve operational efficiency.
Experience and requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in IT support and systems administration.
- Strong practical experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, DNS, and DHCP.
- Working knowledge of Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
- Exposure to endpoint management platforms such as Intune, SCCM, or similar tools.
- Experience using ITSM or helpdesk platforms such as Jira, Keka, or ClickUp.
- Understanding of ITIL concepts and service management practices.
- Strong troubleshooting ability, along with clear documentation and communication skills.
- Comfort working in a 24×7 support setup and across multiple office locations.
- Availability for on-call or emergency support when needed.
Preferred qualifications
- Fortinet NSE 4 certification or above.
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
