IT Officer

Job Overview

The IT Officer is responsible for delivering comprehensive technical assistance to users by diagnosing and addressing IT-related issues effectively. This role also involves overseeing and maintaining the organization's databases and ensuring the integrity and security of IT systems through routine data backups and antivirus management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical support by troubleshooting and resolving IT problems encountered by users.
• Manage and maintain corporate databases to ensure optimal functionality and security.
• Implement security measures including data backup protocols and antivirus protection to safeguard company IT infrastructure.
• Develop software programs and web applications utilizing diverse programming languages and technologies as required.
• Oversee network infrastructure operations, including administration and monitoring of routers and switches.

Educational and Professional Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of three years of practical experience in IT operations or a similar technical role.

Compensation

Starting salary is expected to be competitive, with remuneration denominated in Ghanaian Cedi (GH₵), subject to appreciation based on experience and performance.
