About the Role
A premier global investment bank is looking to add an experienced Investment Banking Associate to its Financial Restructuring division based in New York City. Candidates are required to have prior involvement in financial restructuring groups.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior bankers to provide strategic counsel on mergers and acquisitions, capital structuring, financing tactics, financial restructuring, valuation exercises, and other corporate finance initiatives.
- Create and uphold complex financial models, detailed valuation studies, and essential transaction documentation fueling client engagements and deal closings.
- Craft polished presentations, pitch decks, marketing collateral, and other client-oriented materials.
- Assist in all transaction phases including due diligence, financial scrutiny, process oversight, and coordination among internal and external parties.
- Coordinate closely with industry coverage teams as well as specialists in capital solutions, financing, restructuring, valuation, and advisory for comprehensive client offerings.
- Conduct thorough company, sector, market, and past transaction research to back active deals and business development efforts.
- Handle multiple priorities simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail, delivering top-quality outcomes within stringent deadlines.
- Nurture strong internal relationships and foster a collaborative and high-achieving team culture.
- Support client relationship management and actively engage in new business generation.
- Exhibit initiative, prudent decision-making, and an entrepreneurial mindset to identify client service enhancements and contribute to firm expansion.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree combined with strong academic achievements.
- At least five years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of two years in investment banking or an allied advisory sector.
- Previous tenure at a major investment bank, M&A advisory entity, restructuring group, financing unit, corporate development department, or a similar financial advisory setting.
- Proven analytical prowess and quantitative aptitude, with demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analytics.
