Role Summary

As an Inventory Coordinator based in Nairobi, Kenya, you will oversee the seamless movement of goods among production, warehouse, suppliers, and clients while upholding exceptional inventory accuracy and operational discipline. The role demands a strong focus on audits, internal controls, compliance, and governance with strict adherence to protocols and proactive mitigation of operational risks. You will play a key part in managing logistics, warehouse workflows, and inventory whilst ensuring compliance with safety, quality, hygiene, food safety, and audit standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accurate inventory tracking and coordinate logistics to protect stock integrity and enhance customer service.
  • Lead initiatives for operational efficiency and control within warehouse environments via continuous improvement and problem resolution.
  • Facilitate robust teamwork and communication channels to guarantee smooth warehouse and logistics processes.
  • Ensure all operations comply with safety standards, quality controls, hygiene, food safety regulations, and audit readiness.

Expected Qualifications & Experience

  • Possess a Diploma or Certificate in Inventory Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in inventory control systems, warehouse management, stock principles, logistics processes, and supply chain best practices.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in leadership or team supervision roles.
  • Proficient in ERP platforms (ideally Odoo), inventory management software, and Microsoft Excel for stock monitoring, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, stock accountability, audit compliance, and inventory governance with accurate record maintenance capabilities.
  • Ability to enforce adherence to food safety, quality assurance, hygiene, health & safety, and corporate policies in warehouse and distribution settings.
  • Exceptional attention to detail for processing, authorizing, verifying, and documenting warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Solid literacy and numeracy skills for report preparation, documentation, and precise data entry.
  • Highly organized with flexibility to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining strict process discipline and control.
  • Certifications for operating Forklift, Reach Truck, or Narrow Aisle Truck will be a valuable advantage.
