Position Overview

As an Inventory Control Analyst reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Inventory Control, you will manage inventory levels, analyze data, produce reports, and optimize inventory control systems. Your role includes ensuring data accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational performance and reduce costs. You will collaborate with multiple departments to accurately track inventory transactions and maintain warehouse layout details.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain precise inventory records across warehouse and distribution centers to ensure optimal stock levels and inventory control effectiveness.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies and transaction errors promptly to uphold system accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Plan and execute daily cycle counts, reconcile physical inventory with system data, and enforce compliance with company inventory policies.
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel features, ERP software, and analytical tools to detect inventory trends, forecast issues, and support data-driven decisions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in inventory control, management, warehouse operations, supply chain, or related analytical roles.

  • Experience managing bulk inventory, finished goods, stock movement, receiving, picking, replenishment, and shipping workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions, formulas, data analysis, and large dataset management.
  • Familiarity with ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), or other inventory management tools is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence software such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities to convert inventory data into actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with warehouse staff, supervisors, cross-functional teams, and internal clients.
  • High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage in a fast-paced environment.
