About Fecken-Kirfel
Fecken-Kirfel, a family-owned company established in 1870, specializes in manufacturing high-precision cutting machines "Made in Germany" for processing soft foams, compact plastics such as rubber, neoprene, as well as hard foam and cork. Our technology and quality leadership is recognized across industries including upholstery and mattress manufacturing, packaging, automotive supply, construction, and medical technology. All machines are fully produced at our headquarters in Aachen, Germany.
We value close customer relationships, with sales operations spanning 35 countries through partnerships. Our service teams in Germany and the USA provide worldwide support and remote assistance, complemented by technicians in many partner offices.
Your Role
We are seeking a dynamic "player-coach" sales leader who combines technical expertise and sales acumen to drive our international growth. As part of a succession plan, you will lead our global sales efforts, inspire your team, and develop markets effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the international sales strategy and execution as both a hands-on and strategic leader.
- Serve as the main contact for key accounts and global representatives.
- Expand market presence, strengthen partnerships, and contribute strategic insights for business development.
- Lead, develop, and motivate the sales team to maximize potential.
- Drive new customer acquisition and nurture existing global client relationships.
- Conduct high-level negotiations on offers, contracts, prices, and delivery terms.
- Collaborate closely with technical, project management, and customer service departments.
- Participate in market, product development, and pricing strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Technical degree (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent qualification.
- Several years' experience in technical sales or machinery/plant engineering.
- Strong market knowledge in manufacturing and processing of foams, rubber, neoprene, cork, or related specialized machinery sectors.
- Proven success in handling complex negotiations.
- Leadership experience with a talent for team motivation.
- Excellent understanding of CRM systems, sales pipelines, and forecasting.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Fluent German and English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, negotiation skill, and confident communication.
