Role overview
Gulf Associates is hiring an Intern - Data Analyst to contribute to commercial research and counterparty analysis for a major logistics client. The position is centered on turning raw market information into practical insights that support investment decisions, market-entry strategies, and joint-venture planning. It is a full-time remote role, so the work can be done from any location.
Key responsibilities
- Gather and structure data from multiple sources to create a reliable view of market activity in the relevant territory.
- Keep Excel-based models current and use them to evaluate different commercial scenarios for the logistics partner.
- Study counterparties and competitors to understand how they are operating in the current market environment.
- Build charts and tables that make complex findings easy for partners and senior stakeholders to understand.
- Review internal reports carefully to confirm numerical accuracy and verify the supporting evidence.
- Track trade movement and port activity indicators to spot changes in the logistics landscape.
- Help prepare briefing materials for sovereign entities and chief executives before negotiations.
