Role Overview
As a Business Tax Intern, you will build practical exposure to Qatar’s corporate tax environment and support senior tax professionals on a range of client work. The role involves tax research, documentation, computations, reporting, and coordination on compliance-related tasks.
Key Duties
- Build working knowledge of Qatar income tax rules, related procedures, and compliance requirements to help address client issues.
- Support the preparation of corporate tax returns and other tax documentation.
- Research Qatar tax legislation, international tax treaties, and regulatory changes.
- Assist with tax calculations, reconciliations, and associated reporting.
- Work with experienced tax staff to review financial statements for possible tax impacts.
- Help prepare responses for audits and queries from tax authorities.
- Contribute to presentations and reports for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Keep tax records accurate and aligned with firm standards and local regulations.
- Research tax systems in Qatar and in other jurisdictions relevant to client operations.
- Prepare draft client deliverables under the supervision of senior team members and project managers.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong research ability and excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and handle several assignments at once.
- Basic understanding of taxation concepts, financial statements, and accounting principles.
- Fluent English communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking are required; bilingual Arabic-English candidates will be preferred.
- Applicant must be a Qatari National or have a Qatari mother.
