Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-conscious Insurance & Billing Coordinator to support insurance authorizations, billing activities, and client admissions. This fully remote position plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring uninterrupted ABA services for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits for both new and existing clients.
• Prepare, submit, and track insurance authorizations and treatment plans diligently.
• Maintain precise insurance and authorization records within the electronic health record system.
• Assist billing processes to verify that authorizations correspond with scheduled services.
• Engage with insurance carriers to clarify authorizations, coverage benefits, and payer policies.
• Investigate claim discrepancies and support billing documentation and follow-up efforts.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping aligned with HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards.
• Collaborate with the Insurance & Billing Manager and clinical teams to facilitate timely delivery of client services.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, revenue cycle management, or healthcare administration.
• Preferred experience includes commercial insurance and Medicaid.
• Background in ABA, behavioral health, or pediatric healthcare is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational abilities paired with acute attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with EHR systems, especially RethinkBH, is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an annual salary of $65,000, with potential performance bonuses up to $10,000 per year based on Key Result Areas (KRAs).
