Role overview
Best Doors, which operates as part of the global dormakaba group, is looking for a dependable and driven Installer to join its Hervey Bay branch on a permanent full-time basis. This is a practical, hands-on position involving the installation, servicing, and repair of a broad range of door and access products, along with a strong emphasis on delivering a high standard of customer care. The company provides complete in-house training, making this a strong option for someone wanting to develop a long-term career with a respected industry name.
Key duties
- Fit, service, and repair industrial doors, roller doors, sectional doors, and related access systems.
- Handle automatic door operators, gate operators, and other specialised equipment.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely while working at customer locations.
- Produce quality results and maintain a professional customer service approach.
- Partner with branch colleagues to satisfy customer needs and project requirements.
- Keep safety, compliance, and safe work practices at the forefront of daily work.
Required capabilities
- Hold a current C Class driver's licence.
- Be comfortable and competent using a range of power tools.
- Have the physical ability to carry out manual installation tasks.
- Communicate well and contribute effectively as part of a team.
- Show reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to doing the job well.
- Be prepared to work extra hours during peak workload periods when needed.
Preferred background
- Prior exposure to construction, maintenance, installation, or trade-based work is an advantage.
- Mechanical understanding and a practical approach to solving problems are desirable.
- A positive, customer-first attitude is preferred.
