Role overview

Best Doors, which operates as part of the global dormakaba group, is looking for a dependable and driven Installer to join its Hervey Bay branch on a permanent full-time basis. This is a practical, hands-on position involving the installation, servicing, and repair of a broad range of door and access products, along with a strong emphasis on delivering a high standard of customer care. Key duties

• Fit, service, and repair industrial doors, roller doors, sectional doors, and related access systems.
• Handle automatic door operators, gate operators, and other specialised equipment.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely while working at customer locations.
• Produce quality results and maintain a professional customer service approach.
• Partner with branch colleagues to satisfy customer needs and project requirements.
• Keep safety, compliance, and safe work practices at the forefront of daily work.

Required capabilities

• Hold a current C Class driver's licence.
• Be comfortable and competent using a range of power tools.
• Have the physical ability to carry out manual installation tasks.
• Communicate well and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Show reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to doing the job well.
• Be prepared to work extra hours during peak workload periods when needed.

Preferred background

• Prior exposure to construction, maintenance, installation, or trade-based work is an advantage.
• Mechanical understanding and a practical approach to solving problems are desirable.
• A positive, customer-first attitude is preferred.
