Role Overview
The Installation Technician based in Regina is critical to the branch's success, responsible for the timely, within-budget installation and servicing of products, ensuring compliance with functional and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review hardware and schedules for clarification, including product names and item numbers.
- Ensure keying and access controls meet customer performance specifications comprehensively.
- Carry out installations in strict adherence to manufacturer specifications and project scope.
- Oversee and train onsite labor personnel.
- Provide accurate time estimates for completing tasks and commit to scheduled deadlines.
- Complete necessary documentation evidencing goods pickup and delivery to sites.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly to transport products to and from locations, adhering to safety protocols.
- Immediately report any short-shipped or damaged products to the product coordinator.
- Precisely record goods receipt aligning with sales orders and hardware schedules.
- Follow company procedures for paperwork flow, documentation, and packaging during shipping and receiving onsite.
- Comply with all site and regulatory safety requirements consistently.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure vehicle safety standards are upheld.
- Complete safety forms daily, weekly, and monthly as required by site and company safety manuals.
- Promptly communicate project schedule changes or out-of-scope work requests to project leaders.
- Engage in collaborative, win-win problem-solving initiatives with internal teams to resolve interdepartmental challenges.
- Maintain positive and effective working relationships with all company personnel and departments.
- Support other shop duties as necessary.
- Continuously update product knowledge through training programs aimed at improving installation processes.
