Our client is a prominent government agency dedicated to delivering impactful benefits to the people of New Zealand now and in the future.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Domain Architect specialized in infrastructure to lead the architectural strategy, design, and optimization of the organization's core network, security, and access systems. This is an immediate contract for 4 months, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the infrastructure is secure, scalable, and resilient, supporting key operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, secure, and enhance enterprise-wide network systems and foundational infrastructure.
- Drive strategic architectural leadership and develop roadmaps for Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) frameworks to maintain strong access controls.
- Lead the design, integration, and deployment of Zscaler services alongside secure access service edge (SASE) technologies.
- Work closely with security, risk management, and infrastructure teams to convert business needs into detailed functional specifications and technical implementations.
- Create high-standard architectural designs, governance documents, and standard operating procedures to facilitate deployment and business preparedness.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Domain or Enterprise Architect with expertise in core network architecture and complex enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Proven skill in designing and deploying Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) frameworks and security solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Zscaler services (ZIA/ZPA) design or deployment in an enterprise setting.
- Advanced competency in developing technical roadmaps, detailed design documents, and managing stakeholder engagement across technology and security domains.
- Availability to start immediately or very soon, for the duration of the 4-month contract.
- Bachelor's degree qualification is required.
- Relevant professional certifications are desirable.
