Informatics and Analytics Coordinator - Remote

Position Overview

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) seeks an Informatics and Analytics Coordinator to support its Strategic Management department. This role involves managing daily through monthly administrative tasks related to the Electronic Medical Record system (currently Sigmund Software/Aura SAAS) and performing data analysis for recurring organizational reporting. This primarily remote position includes occasional travel for training and business requirements. Applicants must reside in the Pittsburgh, PA vicinity or surrounding counties and be prepared for regional travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Informatics service desk tickets, ensuring timely and accurate responses to EMR user issues.
• Monitor the EMR vendor’s responsiveness and effectiveness regarding service requests.
• Coordinate Gateway's participation in vendor user groups.
• Review and disseminate vendor communications such as release notes, training opportunities, and software updates.
• Oversee data definitions, integrity issues, and modifications to service types, forms, and policies.
• Conduct ongoing EMR and workflow training for staff.
• Prepare variation analysis worksheets and graphical representations of market, census, financial, and other key data for regular reports.
• Compile data related to legislative matters on substance use disorder treatment and funding.
• Provide data and information required by regulatory agencies and grant applications.
• Perform clerical duties as necessary and assist with special projects.
• Make occasional site visits to Gateway facilities as needed and participate in mandatory GRC trainings and in-services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient computer skills, especially advanced Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Experience and knowledge in SQL.
• Familiarity with Tableau for data visualization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prior experience with electronic medical record software systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 privacy and security regulations.
• Preferred: Experience with Behavioral Health EMR systems and specifically Sigmund Software/Aura.

Additional Requirements

• Completion of PA Criminal History Record Check.
• Obtaining PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint Clearances.
• Passing a drug test.
• Completion of 2-Step Tuberculosis test.
