Hygiene Co-ordinator

Overview

Premier Foods, based in Moreton, Wirral, Merseyside, known as the "Home of the Cadbury Mini Roll," is seeking a Hygiene Co-ordinator to join their dedicated team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless availability and distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE) and workwear to colleagues, while supporting labour planning and training within the hygiene team.

Work Details

The position involves working Monday to Friday with alternating shifts between 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00. The annual salary is approximately £36,000 inclusive of co-ordinator and shift allowances.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the site laundry facility, ensuring all necessary PPE and workwear are available and properly distributed to staff.
• Conduct cleaning tasks in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Cleaning In Place Controls (CICs), and safe methods of work.
• Plan and manage labour within the hygiene team to guarantee comprehensive coverage of all duties.
• Assist management in labour scheduling and ensure hygiene training remains current.
• Control stock and place orders for chemicals, PPE, workwear, and other hygiene-related supplies.
• Maintain documentation required for regulatory and due diligence purposes.

Candidate Requirements

• Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Auditing practices.
• Possession of a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently and show initiative.
• Strong communication and organizational capabilities.
• Proficient with IT, especially spreadsheets.
• Experience in contemporary manufacturing operations and industrial cleaning techniques.
