Role Overview

We seek a Human Resources Generalist to join the Automotive Hub in Detroit, focused on enhancing employee experiences and partnering with business leaders. This role is ideal for an early-career HR professional aspiring to develop strategic HR expertise within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a reliable HR partner for employees and managers at the Detroit Automotive Hub, supporting daily HR operations and elevating employee satisfaction.
• Offer consistent guidance on HR policies and practices reinforcing fairness and adherence to standards.
• Connect hub employees and leadership with broader HR resources to ensure smooth communication and support.
• Collaborate with managers on performance management, employee development, and feedback processes.
• Participate in talent discussions to identify growth opportunities and assist in organizational planning and performance cycle execution.
• Support workforce planning, hiring activities, and interview processes in collaboration with Talent Acquisition teams.
• Address employee relations concerns with balanced assistance under senior HR advisor guidance, promoting a respectful and inclusive culture.
• Assist in fostering open communication, issue resolution, and engagement initiatives that bolster workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance and accuracy in employment policies, onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle activities.
• Facilitate coordination among Detroit leadership for local priorities and community engagement, including leading partnerships with local service organizations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
• Four to five years of relevant HR experience such as HR Coordinator or HR Generalist roles.
• Solid foundational understanding of HR functions, employment laws, and employee relations.
• Strong interpersonal abilities to establish trust and credibility, with excellent communication, discretion, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated passion for culture development, community outreach, and leadership support within a hub environment.
• Preferred experience or interest in automotive or technology sectors, along with knowledge of performance management and HR systems.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $79,100 to $108,875 annually for the Troy, Michigan location. Additional rewards include bonus programs, comprehensive benefits, a 401(k) plan, and an employee product discount.
