Role Overview
Our client, a Midtown Manhattan-based hedge fund, is looking for a seasoned Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and align HR strategies with the organization's objectives. This key role requires a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills and comprehensive HR knowledge to manage the full employee lifecycle effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior management to design and execute HR strategies fostering business success and improving leadership-employee relations.
- Address employee relations confidentially, coach managers, mediate conflicts, ensure policy adherence, and conduct disciplinary and termination procedures.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team on workforce planning, onboarding activities, recruitment alignment, and succession and mentorship programs.
- Oversee performance evaluation and promotion processes, support talent development, and work with HR Centers of Excellence to implement retention strategies.
- Drive organizational development initiatives that enhance diversity, employee engagement, and retention while drafting compliant HR policies.
- Engage employees via communications, focus groups, and networking; leverage analytics to enhance HR programs and productivity.
- Maintain knowledge of employment laws and HR trends, ensuring compliance and integrating best practices by identifying and addressing process gaps.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of HR experience, ideally with exposure to financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Expertise in core HR domains, regional employment laws, regulatory compliance, and HR policies.
- Strong commitment to fostering employee relationships and acting as a trusted advocate.
- Proven ability to operate independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ambition to grow within a global, expanding organization.
- Experience working within a global corporate structure.
- Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring teams or direct reports.
Additional Details
- Position based onsite in New York, NY.
- Work schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with four days in-office and one day remote per week.
- Compensation includes base salary ranging from $150,000 to $200,000 depending on experience, along with bonuses and attractive benefits.
