About Activate
Activate is a technology company pioneering interactive gaming centers across the US and Canada, combining technology and physical activity to deliver immersive live-action gaming experiences. Currently undergoing major expansion across North America and entering global markets, Activate is seeking a talented Human Resource Generalist to support its US operations from either Florida or California.
Key Responsibilities
- Explore emerging operational regions to ensure compliance and competitive positioning.
- Develop recruitment and selection strategies to attract exceptional talent for leading Activate store operations.
- Maintain and update job descriptions, interview materials, and job postings consistent with corporate branding.
- Conduct candidate prescreening and keep recruitment records current in the HRIS system.
- Arrange and participate in interviews with hiring managers for designated roles.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding procedures effectively.
- Audit HRIS and SharePoint documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Ensure synchronization and accuracy between payroll and HRIS data.
- Create templates and produce data-driven reports on HR metrics.
- Support team-building initiatives and provide administrative assistance for company events.
- Analyze and report on employee experience and wellbeing survey outcomes.
- Develop training materials and monitor tracking of mandatory trainings.
- Research and ensure legal compliance with employment laws across various US jurisdictions.
- Prepare reports and analyses related to job evaluation, pay equity laws, and required submissions.
- Update HR policies and monitor compliance training rollouts.
- Maintain accurate employee files and assist with administration of employee requests, protected leaves, and workers' compensation claims.
Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in Human Resource Management or a related field, either completed or in progress.
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a comparable HR role.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proven ability to build and nurture professional relationships.
- Current knowledge of industry trends and relevant legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Quick learner who is creative, self-driven, and detail-focused.
- Highly motivated to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities across the employee lifecycle.
