Overview
ACC New Zealand is a respected organisation dedicated to care, recovery support, and injury prevention for the community. They are seeking an HR Support professional to join their People & Culture (P&C) People Systems team based in Christchurch. This fixed-term role offers an excellent entrypoint to Human Resources, providing hands-on experience with HR systems, processes, and employee support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver precise and timely HR administrative and system support.
- Use HR software confidently to manage a variety of employee transactions.
- Oversee the distribution of employment documents through digital channels.
- Handle onboarding helpline queries, including providing technical assistance to new hires.
- Assist users to proficiently access and navigate HR systems and information independently.
- Spot areas for improvement in processes, tools, and system user clarity.
- Maintain accuracy and currency of documentation, processes, and HR systems.
Candidate Profile
- Strong interest in Human Resources and eagerness to expand HR knowledge.
- Excellent administrative skills with great attention to detail.
- Comfortable working across multiple digital platforms and systems.
- Experience delivering customer-focused support and resolving inquiries efficiently.
- Able to troubleshoot technical or procedural issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Organized and capable of managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Open to learning, adaptable, and positive team collaborator.
- Resilient, proactive, and confident in seeking help and sharing knowledge.
- Must have valid New Zealand work rights upon application.
Employment Details
This role is a fixed-term position available until 18 December 2026, located onsite in Christchurch, Canterbury. The salary range is $61,766 to $75,000 per year depending on experience. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package including a 9% superannuation contribution without mandatory employee contributions, and optional life and income protection insurance.
