The position is responsible for aligning people initiatives with business goals to support productivity, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and compliance. The HRBP will work closely with leadership on workforce planning, talent priorities, employee relations, organizational change, and site-level HR operations. By using data, business understanding, and strong relationship-building skills, this role helps guide decisions, improve the employee experience, and support both immediate operational needs and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with site and business leadership to turn operational priorities into practical workforce and talent plans.
  • Advise and coach managers on employee relations, team performance, leadership effectiveness, organizational issues, and change efforts.
  • Develop strong working relationships across the site to spot workforce trends, risks, and opportunities that improve engagement, retention, and culture.
  • Analyze HR data such as turnover, engagement, attendance, onboarding, and performance metrics, then recommend workable solutions.
  • Support workforce planning through headcount analysis, organizational design, succession planning, critical role planning, and talent gap assessment.
  • Help lead change initiatives at the site, including restructures, leadership changes, policy rollouts, and engagement or culture programs.
  • Serve as the main HR contact for employees and managers at the site, offering timely, accurate, confidential, and practical support.
  • Explain HR policies, procedures, and employment practices, and escalate complex or high-risk issues when needed.
  • Handle employee relations matters such as coaching, documentation, investigations, corrective action, and performance improvement planning with leadership and the HR Manager.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle for the site, including onboarding, role changes, and offboarding, while maintaining an efficient and positive experience.
  • Coordinate onboarding tasks such as I-9 verification, orientation scheduling, system setup, and first-day preparation, and look for ways to improve the process.
  • Ensure employment authorization compliance through timely I-9 completion, reverification, and accurate audit-ready records.
  • Oversee offboarding steps including separation paperwork, access removal, exit procedures, and return of company property.
  • Work with payroll to ensure changes, corrections, deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and status updates are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Support employee benefits questions and processes, including enrollment, qualifying life events, leave coordination, open enrollment, and benefits education.
  • Coordinate with third-party administrators and internal teams on leaves of absence, accommodations, and related employee needs in a compliant and employee-focused way.
  • Support immigration-related matters by tracking documentation and work authorization deadlines and partnering with outside counsel or vendors as needed.
  • Maintain employee records, complete HR transactions, and prepare HR documents and correspondence within HRIS systems such as Paylocity.
  • Keep up to date with federal, state, and local employment laws and ensure site HR practices and documentation remain compliant.
  • Support employee engagement surveys by reviewing results, identifying key themes, and working with leaders on action plans.
  • Look for opportunities to improve HR processes, service delivery, tools, and program effectiveness across the site and broader organization.
  • Contribute to HR projects and cross-functional initiatives that support business goals and organizational growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience with 7+ years in an HR generalist or HR business partner role.
