Houseperson

Job Summary

The Houseperson in housekeeping supports both day and night shifts by keeping hotel spaces clean, organized, and presentable. This role covers interior and exterior public areas, responds to guest needs, helps with laundry tasks, handles room cleaning when specifically requested, watches over corridors and outside areas, and politely addresses guest complaints such as noise issues.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests and team members in a courteous, service-focused way at all times.
• Follow the company’s, hotel’s, and brand’s standards to support safe and efficient operations.
• Complete stocking and organization tasks for housekeeping carts, including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens.
• Carry and monitor a communication device such as a pager or radio, and respond promptly to requests.
• Bring requested items like towels and amenities to guest rooms as needed.
• Collect and dispose of trash and debris from corridors, public spaces, the parking lot, pool area, and similar locations.
• Maintain cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, hallways, and public areas, including the pool area and public restrooms, keeping them tidy and vacuumed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Applicants must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Should be able to understand verbal instructions and complete assigned work on time.
