Housekeeper / Cleaner

Role Overview

Join Oaks Gold Coast Hotel as a casual Housekeeper/Cleaner and play an essential part in maintaining our hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, physical stamina, and a cooperative spirit within a team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms by making beds neatly, vacuuming floors, and sanitizing bathrooms to uphold pristine conditions.
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks promptly within allocated work hours.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily cleaning targets and operational objectives.
• Comply with safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Operate specialized cleaning tools and products safely, with all necessary training and equipment provided.
• Foster positive professional relationships with team members, guests, and external contractors to contribute to a respectful workplace culture.

Work Schedule

• Shifts rotate from Monday to Sunday.
• Start times between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM.

Compensation

• Monday to Friday: $33.85 per hour (exclusive of superannuation).
• Saturday: $40.62 per hour.
• Sunday: $47.39 per hour.

Candidate Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is favorable.
• High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Basic knowledge of safe cleaning chemical use and equipment operation; training will be provided.
• Good physical fitness with capability for repetitive movements such as bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.
• Professional communication skills to interact clearly with guests and team members.
• Effective time management and task prioritization abilities.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
