Stanton Court Nursing Home, situated in the village of Stanton Drew near Chew Magna (BS39 4ER), operates as part of the Country Court family of care homes. The home is located approximately 8 miles south of both Bristol and Bath. The dedicated team, under the guidance of the Home Manager, fosters a welcoming, homely environment for all residents. Applicants must have their own transport due to the home's location.

Role Overview

As a Housekeeper, you play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home. This includes meticulous cleaning of residents’ rooms and common areas, ensuring no surface is overlooked. You will also be responsible for handling residents' personal laundry—washing, pressing, and folding clothing and bedding to immaculate standards. Housekeepers contribute significantly to creating a family atmosphere that benefits residents daily.

Hours and Scheduling

The position involves averaging 33.75 hours per week, with shifts mostly on weekends following a rota system. Shift times are from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, working 4 shifts in Week 1 and 5 shifts in Week 2.

Candidate Profile

We seek a proactive, passionate individual who has a caring attitude and is motivated to help provide person-centered care. While previous housekeeping or laundry experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Essential qualities include an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to engage warmly with residents and their families. Some understanding or knowledge of the care sector is advantageous.
