Job Overview
Become a key member of our dedicated team supporting postgraduate research at the University of Waikato. This dynamic, full-time position offers the opportunity to provide both advisory and administrative assistance to postgraduate research students and their academic supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact directly with research students and supervisors, offering guidance and support throughout their academic journey.
- Organize and facilitate research workshops and events aimed at enriching the postgraduate experience.
- Manage critical administrative processes including applications, progress monitoring, completion procedures, and examination coordination.

The School of Graduate Research provides strategic leadership and administration for all postgraduate research programs at the university. It supports recruitment, research success, career development, wellbeing of students, and manages a range of scholarships funded both centrally and externally.

Terms and Conditions
- Position duration: Fixed-term from August 2026 to March 2027.
- Work hours: 37.5 hours per week.
- Location: Hillcrest Campus, Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand.
- Salary range: $73,235 to $87,024 annually (prorated based on experience).
- Legal requirement: Must have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
