Role Overview

We are seeking a confident and compassionate Healthcare Assistant for our Rapid Response team, delivering urgent and hands-on care directly within clients' homes. This position involves supporting individuals requiring immediate assistance, stepping in with new care packages, and ensuring their safety, comfort, and independence in their own communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct staff shadowing to uphold Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to emergency care needs by managing new care packages and client discharges.
  • Monitor and evaluate care quality delivered to clients, reporting concerns to the area manager.
  • Collect and review client journal notes from home visits.
  • Deliver care plans, log sheets, gloves, and PPE to clients when necessary.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in homecare within Ireland.
  • Formal qualification: QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care.
  • Possession of a valid driving license and access to a car due to travel requirements between clients.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective communication for scheduling visits and maintaining accurate reports.
  • Compassion and empathy as fundamental traits for homecare work.
  • Willingness to work flexibly including weekends on a rota basis.
