About the Role
We are seeking confident and compassionate carers to join us as Rapid Response Healthcare Assistants, delivering urgent, hands-on care to individuals in their own homes. This role requires flexibility, proactivity, and dedication to high-quality care that ensures safety, comfort, and independence within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide rapid emergency cover by stepping in for new care packages and discharges.
- Oversee staff shadowing to uphold Health & Safety standards and procedures.
- Monitor and assess care quality for clients, reporting any concerns to the area manager.
- Collect and check journal notes from clients' homes.
- Deliver care plans, log sheets, gloves, and PPE to clients’ residences as needed.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of one year’s homecare experience within Ireland.
- Formal qualification with QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care.
- Possession of a driving licence and access to a car for travel between clients.
- Ability to remain calm and adaptable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage visits, record-keeping, and reporting.
- Compassion and empathy towards clients.
- Willingness to work on a rota basis, including weekends.
