About the Role

At Rivermead View Care Home near Looe, Cornwall, we are seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our friendly daytime team. Whether you are experienced or aspiring to start your career in care, we offer comprehensive training and support to help you succeed. Your work will help our residents live with dignity, comfort, and joy in a warm, coastal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks while preserving their privacy and respect.
  • Engage residents through meaningful conversations and tailored activities to enrich their lives.
  • Provide care that is centred around each individual’s needs and preferences.
  • Perform regular health and wellbeing assessments based on individual care plans.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow staff and external healthcare providers to maintain consistent, quality care.
  • Maintain accurate digital records of resident details and care delivered.
  • Report promptly any incidents, changes, or concerns to senior personnel.

Compensation

  • Standard pay: £13.00 per hour.
  • Weekend pay rate: £16.25 per hour.
  • Bank holiday pay: £26.00 per hour.
  • Higher pay with Care Certificate: £13.50 per hour (standard), £16.88 per hour (weekends), £27.00 per hour (bank holidays). Support provided to achieve this qualification.

Additional Information

Roles available on either a part-time or full-time contract basis. A supportive team environment with opportunities for career advancement. We offer a £500 referral bonus and reward schemes to recognize your contributions.
