Head – Project Design & Development

About the Role

This leadership position at Adani Realty calls for managing the design and development of hospitality projects, particularly hotel properties. The role involves coordinating design approvals, ensuring alignment with brand standards, and managing project timelines and stakeholder collaboration to deliver world-class hospitality assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee design coordination by reviewing and approving design briefs submitted by hotel operators and ensuring all design revisions meet operator branding as well as internal technical, sustainability, and safety protocols.
• Facilitate workshops and value-engineering discussions to drive design sign-offs from operators and other stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain a centralized project tracking system that monitors timelines, milestones, design approvals, and change requests.
• Conduct frequent progress reviews with project execution teams and proactively identify delays, risks, and deviations, working closely with relevant parties to resolve issues.
• Serve as the primary liaison among hotel operators, architects, designers, consultants, internal departments (legal, finance, procurement, ESG), and project teams to ensure smooth collaboration throughout the development lifecycle.
• Ensure that all hospitality developments comply with brand guidelines including guest experience, back-of-house design, sustainability requirements, and technical standards, aligning each project with internal governance, engineering criteria, and ESG commitments.
• Promote opportunities to standardize, value-engineer, and optimize design choices for cost efficiency, operational effectiveness, and enhanced long-term asset value.
• Maintain and update a risk register for projects and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage project closeout activities including operator sign-off on final designs, readiness tracking for technical services, and supporting handover documentation to ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• 15 to 18 years of experience, particularly in leadership roles focused on design and development within hospitality or hotel projects.
• Background in real estate focusing on hospitality or experience with international hotel brands is preferred.
