About the Role

At MECCA Brands, the Planning team is essential in ensuring the appropriate products are available at the right locations and times, facilitating outstanding customer experiences while supporting business performance. As the Head of Planning, you will be a pivotal leader in enhancing our planning capabilities during a dynamic phase of company transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and transform the Planning department by implementing new working practices and fostering ongoing improvements.
• Collaborate closely with Brand Management, Merchandise Operations, Range & Space, and executive teams to devise and implement commercial planning strategies that maximize business results.
• Mentor and inspire a sizable group of planning managers, promoting capability development and nurturing a high-performing, cooperative culture.
• Act as the Planning representative in the Leadership Team, delivering commercial analyses and guidance to shape critical business decisions.
• Combine strategic leadership with active operational participation, seeking opportunities to enhance planning workflows and team productivity.

Candidate Profile

• You should be a commercially savvy, cooperative planning leader who excels amid rapid changes.
• Experience in leading large teams through organizational change within Planning, Merchandising, or Commercial roles is preferred, ideally in sectors like beauty retail, fashion, or FMCG.
• Possess strong commercial insight and the ability to influence senior leadership to achieve strategic goals.
• A proven track record in harmonizing strategic planning with hands-on execution in high-volume, customer-centric businesses.
• A leadership approach focused on people development, fostering strong partnerships, and promoting high team performance.
