Head - Future Projects

Role Overview

The Head of Future Projects will lead the complete lifecycle management of AdaniConneX's extensive data center development portfolio. This encompasses strategic project planning, engineering oversight, procurement coordination, construction supervision, system testing and commissioning, client handover, and governance. The incumbent will be instrumental in the execution of hyperscale and enterprise data center projects throughout India, ensuring delivery within scheduled timelines, budgets, safety standards, quality expectations, sustainability objectives, and contractual commitments. A strategic vision and leadership are crucial to nurture a world-class project delivery team that supports AdaniConneX's growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and enforce project delivery strategies and governance frameworks for the data center portfolio.
• Set enterprise-wide standards in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and controls.
• Oversee all phases of project execution, including civil, electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure works, ensuring adherence to quality, timelines, budgets, and safety.
• Manage testing and commissioning activities, maintaining compliance with hyperscaler and enterprise customer standards and ensuring defect-free facility handover.
• Serve as executive liaison for key customers, coordinating governance reviews and maintaining strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and strategic partners.
• Monitor cost management through budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering, addressing commercial risks proactively.
• Champion safety culture and compliance with environmental, health, and sustainability standards across projects.
• Lead organizational development by mentoring senior leaders, fostering accountability, collaboration, and innovation, and enhancing project management capabilities.

• Percentage of projects delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• Preferred advanced qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Infrastructure Management, or MBA.
• Certifications such as PMP, Primavera (P6), or Lean Construction are advantageous.
• Over 23 years of experience managing large infrastructure projects, especially in data centers, airports, industrial infrastructure, mission-critical facilities, power plants, metro systems, semiconductors, or logistics parks.
• Demonstrated ability managing multi-billion CAPEX portfolios and complex stakeholder environments.
