Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of small to medium maintenance and repair tasks for residential and commercial customers, ranging from short-term projects to those lasting several days.
• Engage with customers to explain necessary work, set clear expectations regarding scope and cost, and build long-term relationships through excellent service delivery.
• Adhere to the company's standardized process, known as the Mr. Handyman Way, to consistently provide outstanding customer experiences and foster repeat business.

Skills and Requirements

• Capability to self-manage tasks while often working independently on job sites.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with clients, gather feedback, and process payments efficiently.
• Possession and proficient use of necessary tools and technology to document tasks electronically.
• Strict adherence to safety and cleanliness standards, including wearing appropriate PPE and protecting customers' homes.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a paid handyman practitioner.
• Preferably owns general hand tools; specialized equipment will be supplied.
• Residency within the local area.
• Insurability to operate the company vehicle and successful completion of background and driving record checks.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely perform work at heights or overhead for extended durations.
• Professional personal appearance and upkeep of the company vehicle.

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in at least three of these areas: carpentry, bathroom remodeling, kitchen upgrades, interior and exterior painting, drywall installation and repairs, general plumbing and electrical work within legal limits, flooring installation and restoration, and knowledge of applicable building codes.
