About the Role
A respected manufacturing company headquartered in Singapore with an expansive presence across Asia seeks an experienced Group Finance Manager. This role encompasses end-to-end oversight of finance operations, enhancing governance and internal controls, and collaborating closely with business leaders to fuel the company's sustained expansion.
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct all Group finance functions including monthly closing processes, management and statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow oversight.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/SFRS standards and Group accounting policies during group financial consolidation and reporting.
- Scrutinize complex accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement accuracy to maintain integrity.
- Champion continuous enhancement of finance processes, internal controls, and governance across the organization.
- Coordinate statutory audits, tax compliance activities, and regulatory filings while working alongside external auditors and advisors.
- Collaborate with senior business leaders by delivering financial insights to back strategic decisions and evaluate commercial projects.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, upgrades of ERP systems, and integration efforts post-acquisition where relevant.
- Oversee monitoring of financial risks and participate in broader enterprise risk management activities.
Professional Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance complemented by a professional designation such as CPA, CA, ACCA or an equivalent qualification.
- Approximately 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in finance roles, including leadership responsibilities.
- Operational proficiency managing comprehensive finance functions, from reporting and budgeting to business partner collaboration.
- Comfortable working with group reporting and consolidation in a multi-country regional environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS/SFRS standards, taxation rules, compliance issues, and internal control systems.
- Preferable experience covering Southeast Asia and China markets.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial, semiconductor, or technology sectors is favored.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms, particularly NetSuite, and experience in finance transformation or mergers and acquisitions integration is advantageous.
