Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert statutory and strategic planning advice related to urban design for multidisciplinary projects including visioning, development strategies, masterplanning, form-based codes, regeneration strategies, and statutory submissions such as subdivision and scheme amendments.
• Lead the preparation and coordination of documentation, strategies, and applications ensuring compliance with statutory and strategic planning regulations within urban development projects.
• Engage and collaborate with clients, governmental bodies, and industry stakeholders to address urban development challenges and project-related issues.
• Conduct research to extract insights from complex datasets and translate findings into informed strategies across urban planning, place-making, urban design, economic, and transport disciplines.
• Support community engagement activities through preparation and active participation.
• Deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality work within budget constraints to ensure successful client project outcomes.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in urban planning, geography, urban design, landscape architecture, or a related built environment field from a recognized institution with strong academic performance.
• Up to three years of experience or exposure in urban property development; familiarity with planning for masterplanned communities is advantageous.
• Understanding of the New South Wales planning framework and statutory requirements across various scales and contexts.
• Strong team orientation, excellent written and oral communication, analytical abilities, and a client-focused approach.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for sustainable built environments and community development.
• Current legal entitlement to work and live in Australia (permanent resident or citizen).
