Role Overview

We are seeking a proficient GIS Engineer with specialization in Roads Operations and Maintenance (O&M) to join our Doha, Qatar location. This role involves leading the design and implementation of advanced GIS solutions that support effective management and upkeep of the road network.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy GIS-based tools for analyzing road networks, managing assets, and planning maintenance activities.
• Create and update spatial databases pertaining to road infrastructure and associated assets.
• Produce detailed maps, comprehensive reports, and data visualizations to aid informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to merge GIS data with other platforms and workflows.
• Oversee GIS projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality delivery within timelines.
• Keep abreast of emerging GIS technologies and industry standards relevant to roads O&M.
• Maintain data integrity and accuracy through stringent quality control measures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, or related disciplines; Master's degree is advantageous.
• At least five years of professional experience in GIS, particularly tied to road and infrastructure projects.
• Expert-level skills in GIS software platforms including ArcGIS and QGIS.
• Proven capabilities in spatial database design and management.
• Strong analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to be based onsite in Doha with the flexibility to travel for project requirements.
