Position Details

We are seeking a General Support Operative at our Walkers manufacturing site in Coventry, a key facility producing multiple popular snack brands. This full-time role operates on-site with a 12-hour shift schedule based on a 4 on/4 off rotation encompassing days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. The annual salary is £28,711.09.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure workplace safety, health, and hygiene standards comply with legal and internal requirements.
  • Maintain continuous supply to production lines by understanding and managing line consumables effectively.
  • Manage waste by segregating and disposing of it correctly.
  • Communicate clearly with frontline staff including managers, coordinators, technicians, and operators regarding waste handling.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of work areas including line layouts, bin routes, and placement of raw materials and consumables.
  • Assist General Operators in tasks such as hand packing, hopper filling, and carton replenishing.
