Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled General Practitioner to join a reputable private healthcare clinic located in Edenderry, Offaly. This role offers a permanent, part-time position working three days per week starting in November, with a pro-rated annual salary of €110,000. The position is designed for a GP seeking a supportive non-HSE work environment, flexible hours, and competitive compensation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive GP consultations covering both acute and chronic cases, accommodating in-person and remote formats.
- Diagnose and manage medical conditions across all age groups, including performing minor surgical procedures where necessary.
- Request and evaluate diagnostic tests, referring patients to specialist services as appropriate.
- Ensure clinical documentation complies with GDPR and professional regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with nursing and allied health staff, contributing to clinical governance activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a primary medical degree alongside MICGP, or equivalent qualifications such as MRCGP or FRACGP.
- Current full, unrestricted registration with the Medical Council of Ireland within the GP Division.
- Successful completion of an accredited GP training program.
- Valid medical indemnity insurance.
- Current mandatory certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), safeguarding, and infection control training.
