Job Overview

The Port Alberni, British Columbia facility seeks to onboard General Labour staff for a full-time, permanent role covered under the prevailing Labour Agreement, with hourly wages aligned accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physically demanding tasks across various sections of the paper mill, including coverage during vacations and training periods.
• Participate in a rotating shift schedule encompassing days and nights.
• Operate mobile machinery for prolonged durations.
• Stand for extended periods while working.
• Adapt to high temperature and noisy workplace conditions.
• Maintain strong visual acuity for job tasks.
• Demonstrate computer skills relevant to assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Provide official high school transcripts evidencing completion of Grade 12.
• Hold a valid driver’s license issued in Canada.
• Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn new skills.
• Show a consistent record of safe job performance.

Preference will be extended to applicants possessing relevant industrial work experience.
